Skippy's running a marathon ?!
Hello, and thanks for taking the time to check out the site.
Okay, so you're probably here to either find out about Team In Training (TNT) or to find out about the Fundraising Party coming up on Saturday, May 8th (2004).
The basic concept of TNT is this: you want to go somewhere cool like Anchorage, Lake Tahoe, or Dublin, Ireland and do a marathon, triathlon, or century ride, and you could use some help training for it. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society could use your help fighting blood-related cancers. As a TNT participant, you select an event to train for and agree to raise a predetermined amount of money for the Society. In return, they take care of the airfare and lodging for your event and provide you with coaches and mentors to help you train. It's a pretty cool setup. If you'd like to know more, I'd be glad to answer any questions you might have. You can also go to the TNT site (www.teamintraining.org), which has lots of pretty pictures and neat stories, etc.
A quick update for those of you who have been wondering how the training and fundraising is going...longest run so far is 16 miles on Saturday 4/24. During the week, I am running between 4 and 6 miles, every day except Friday. I have raised about $2,700 so far (although the number on the stats page says differently). Thanks again to all my contributors, you all ROCK!
Speaking of rock, that brings me to the real reason I started updating this page, to tell you about the fundraising party:
It is this Saturday, May 8th 2004, 6-12pm.
Location is JD's Fieldhouse, 7641 S. Hwy. 38 Caledonia, WI. It's not hard to find, but if you need directions you can go to my links page and the second link from the bottom will show you the location on yahoo maps.
A minumum donation of $15 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society gets you a wrist band which in turn will get you:
Food
Beer & Soda
Live Music by EZ LIVIN, one of the best bands in the area.
Entry in Door Prize Drawing
There will also be a Silent Auction, here is a partial list of the items up for bidding:

So there you have it. Of course, all proceeds go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. So besides having a good time, you will also be helping out a great cause.
